Abstract
Abstrak berbahasa Inggris The background of this research is the low creative thinking ability of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Dander. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the realistic mathematics learning approach had an effect on students' creative thinking abilities in the block material. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Dander, while the sample was class VIII F as the control class and class VIII G as the experimental class. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The research design used was True Experimental Design, using cluster random sampling technique, while the data collection technique used the test method. The data analysis technique used the t test statistic. The results of the analysis and discussion show that the students' creative thinking ability using realistic mathematics learning is obtained tcount = 2.0374> ttable = 2.003 with a significance level of 5%, so that tcount DK and decision H0 are rejected, so the results of this study are there is no influence in using realistic mathematics learning on the ability to think creatively in the material of flat-sided building (beam) class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1Dander in the 2019/2020 school year.
