ABSTRACT Rahmawati, Liana Dika. 2019. “An Analysis of Teacher Technique in Teaching Writing Skill at The Seventh Grade of MTs Abu Dzarrin Bojonegoro”, Thesis , English Education Department, Faculty of Language and Arts Education, IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, Advisor (I) Meiga Ratih T, M.Pd. (II) M. Fuadul Matin,S,S, M.Pd. Keyword : Teacher Technique and Writing Skill The purpose of conducting this research is to find out how to implement the techniques used in teaching writing. This research was conducted at MTs Abu Dzarrin Bojonegoro April until June 2019. This study describes the process of learning to write English at MTs Abu Dzarrin Bojonegoro. Data taken from observation, interview, and document analysis. Researchers conducted interviews with 2 teachers and observation in class VII H. Based on observations, interviews, and documentation researchers concluded that the techniques used by teachers in teaching writing are interesting techniques for students. The technique is used like (1) Picture (2) Snack Wrapping (3) Collection of vocab (4) Making stories based on free topics. In these techniques the teacher has its own way of implementing it. In implementing these techniques the teacher found several difficulties. The techniques were given and implemented for students of class VII MTs Abu Dzarrin Bojonegoro. From the analysis conducted by the researcher, it can be concluded that the teacher must have more other techniques in teaching writing, the teacher must be able to motivate students' enthusiasm to be active in learning, and the teacher must be able to recognize the characteristics of their students. Also for students to pay attention to the teacher, receive learning well, be more active in learning activities in class and must always be trained in adding vocabulary.
