ABSTRACT Pranata, Manggala Putra. 2019. An Analysis of Reading Strategies on Students’ English Achievement at The Tenth Graders of SMA Plus Al Amanah Bojonegoro in the Academic Year of 2018/2019. Keywords : English Achievement, Reading Skill, Reading Strategies The reading strategy is the technique that used by the readers to receive the message conveyed by the writer through the word combination. Many students did not aware the important used reading strategy to search the meaning on the sentences. Students' who get the achievement used the reading strategy but they did not know the name and how to use the reading strategy exactly. related to that, analyses need to defined the reading strategy that used by students were applying the strategy more effectively. This objective of the study is analysing the reading strategies used by the students that get english achievement of the tenth grade of SMA Plus Al-Amanah Bojonegoro. There were 3 Students as the samples completed reading strategies questionnaire. The samples got based on the student english mark and the english teacher suggestion. The questionnaire taken by MARSI-R 2013 created by Kouider Mokhtari. The method used from the qualitative research was triangulation. The data obtained based on the their reading strategies used. The reading skill that used on MARSI-R 2013 were GRS (Global Reading Strategies), PSS (Problem Solving Strategies), and SRS (Support Reading Strategies). The result used the MARSI-R 2013 showed that reading strategies used by HDN was SRS (Support Reading Strategies) with the total mean 0,68, SDS was GRS (Global Reading Strategies) with the total mean 0,71, and SM was PSS (Problem Solving Strategies) with the total mean 0,68. The students’ interview indicates with the result of the questionnaire. The conclusion of the research was every reading skill make easier the student to get the english achievement. Although the students used different reading strategies, students still get the english achievement greatly.
