Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain the form of affixation that forms verbs in the Identity column in the Jawa Pos newspaper edition 6 January–4 February 2021, and to describe Affixation in the Jawa Pos Identity column 6 January–4 February 2021 edition which is relevant to language learning. Indonesian in high school. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The source of the data was obtained from the Identity column in the Jawa Pos newspaper. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation techniques (observations) and note-taking techniques. Checking the validity of the findings in this study using source triangulation techniques, namely by looking for information. Researchers can check their findings by utilizing existing sources, methods, and theories. The results of this study can be concluded that 1) the forms of verb-forming affixes in the Jati Diri column in the Jawa Pos newspaper found as many as 71 verb-forming prefixes, 14 verb-forming confixes, and 49 verb-forming clofixes, and the more dominant of the three forms of affixation is Verb-forming prefixes, 2) affixation is one of the morphological processes used for teaching materials so that students are able to easily identify, describe, and classify the forms of affixation in one of the Jawa Pos newspapers, precisely in the Identity column.
