Abstract

This study aims to describe the structuralism of the novel Segi Tiga by Sapardi Djoko Damono. In the novel Segi Tiga by Sapardi Djoko Damono, there are 6 structuralisms, namely theme, plot or plot, background or setting, characters and characterizations, point of view and mandate. The presence of researchers plays an important role, because researchers act as research instruments as well as data collectors. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The data source is obtained from the novel Segi Tiga. The data collection technique in this research is the technique of observation or observation and notes. Checking the validity of the findings of this study using source triangulation techniques, namely by searching for data information using more than one source of information. Based on the data analysis, it was found that there are forms of structuralism in the novel Segi Tiga in the form of 2 themes, 1 plot or plot, 24 settings or settings, 6 characters and characterizations, 1 point of view and 1 mandate.
