Abstract

The research, entitled Ethnographic Study of Sandur Art as Bojonegoro Local Wisdom, aims to describe and explain the development of sandur art as a traditional art of the Bojonegoro community, to describe and explain the value in Sandur art which is used as a form of Bojonegoro local wisdom. This research is a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The presence of researchers plays an important role, because researchers act as research instruments as well as data collectors. The research subjects in this study were the actors of sandur art in Bojonegoro. Source of data is done by interview and field observation. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used the Spradley research model which consisted of 12 research steps. Checking the validity of the findings of this study using source triangulation techniques, namely by searching for data information using more than one source of information. Researchers can check their findings by utilizing existing sources, methods, and theories. Based on data analysis, it was found that there are values in the art of sandur which are a form of local wisdom of Bojonegoro. The form of local wisdom values from sandur art in the form of divinity values, courtesy to elders, harmony and mutual cooperation, respect for women to foster a sense of love for the universe can be seen from the dialect, stories and also the songs used..
