Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain the form of Code Switching and Code Mixing in the dialogue between characters in a film, namely Yowis Ben 2. The method used in this research is to use a qualitative descriptive method. The collection technique used is the listening and note-taking technique. The data validity technique uses data source triangulation techniques. The data source of this research is in the form of fragments of conversational speech between characters in the film Yowis Ben 2. The results of this study indicate that the form of code switching in dialogue between characters in the film Yowis Ben 2 there is only one type, namely internal code switching which amounts to 7 data. The form of code mixing in the dialogue between characters in the Yowis Ben 2 film contains 31 data, the form of code mixing is (1) mixing code into (Inner Code Mixing) which amounts to 27 data, (2) mixing code outward (Outer Code Mixing) totaling 5 data, and (3) mixed code mixing (Hybrid Code Mixing) totaling 2 data.
