Abstract

This study aims to describe where the language errors are (1) language errors in the use of capital letters in the Whastapp group of Indonesian language subjects in class XI SMK Miftahul Hikmah Parengan, (2) Errors in using punctuation dots (.), commas (,) in the Whastapp group for Indonesian language subjects in class XI at SMK Miftahul Hikmah Parengan, and (3) the errors that dominate the Whastapp group for Indonesian subjects in class XI at SMK Miftahul Hikmah Parengan. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This research method is documentation with research instruments. The object studied in this study is SMK Miftahul Hikmah Parengan. The data source used by the researcher is the documentation of the results of the text screenshots from WhatsApp that the researchers collected. Data collection procedures. After the data is collected, then the data is analyzed using data analysis techniques. Data validity test in this study emphasizes validation and reliability tests. Based on the results of this study, it is known that several language errors in the WhatsApp group consist of errors in using capital letters, punctuation errors, and dominant errors. There are 112 errors in the use of capital letters. punctuation period, comma, and question there are 41 errors. There are 41 errors of reformatting. There are 62 errors in the form of abbreviations.
