Abstract

Application of Cooperative Learning Model Type Group Investigation (GI) to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in Learning PNN in Class X Vocational High School It SMK PGRI 2 Bojonegoro Academic Year 2020/2021. Thesis, Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences Education, IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, Supervisor (1) Drs. Heru Ismaya, M.H. (II) Novi Mayasari, S.Pd., M.Pd. The research in this thesis was motivated by the low quality of learning programs and the lack of effective learning in SMK PGRI 2 Bojonegoro. Often it is caused by a monotonous learning system that is carried out in the school, so that it can cause student learning outcomes to decline. In Civics learning there are several learning models that can be used by teachers to improve student learning outcomes. One of them is by using a cooperative learning model type Group Investigation. Learning using the Group Investigation is expected to motivate students and make learning activities effective, creative, and requires creativity. This study uses classroom action research (PTK). In the PTK this research phase has four stages, namely: planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting to determine the improvement at the time of action, and after the action is taken. In this study using two cycles of action. In this study, data collection techniques used: observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. Observation is used to observe the learning process. The test is used to determine the level of understanding of students after using the Cooperative Type Group Investigation learning model. The interview was used to determine the students' responses to learning with the Group Investigation learning model. Documentation is used to collect data by looking at available reports including photos. From the results of the study showed that Civics learning by using cooperative learning models Group Investigation Type can improve student learning outcomes in the material "Diversity of Indonesian Society in Unity in Diversity". This is indicated by the learning outcomes of students on the first cycle of the test that is equal to 47.62% which previously in the implementation of the pre test only amounted to 19.05% and then in the second cycle increased to 85.71% Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that Civics learning using cooperative learning model type group investigation can improve the learning outcomes of class X students of SMK PGRI 2 Bojonegoro.
