Abstract

Zoom media application is a software that has a Video Conference feature that can bring people together directly without having to face-to-face physically. Learning achievement is a student's ability to master knowledge, attitudes and skills both in studying, understanding and being able to work on or answer questions from the subject matter at school. This research was carried out with the aim of knowing how much influence the Zoom application media learning had on the learning achievement of students in social studies subjects for class IX even semesters at SMP Pancasila Dander in the 2020/2021 school year. And to find out what obstacles and obstacles are felt by teachers and students when conducting online teaching and learning activities during this COVID-19 pandemic. Respondents are grade IX students because they are more familiar with the use of the internet and android, then 90% of them already have personal android facilities. This study uses a quantitative method with the test instrument test used is the validity test using the Product Moment test method and the reliability test using the Alpha Crounbach coefficient method. The analysis prerequisite test used is the normality test using the Lilliefors method with calculations showing that the sample comes from a normally distributed population, linearity test is stated to be linear and hypothesis test uses t-test. The calculation of the hypothesis test used is a one-party t-test. The data uses Microsoft office excel 2013. From the results of the Microsoft office excel 2013 test, the data shows that the paired sample t-test results in tcount = - 18,0073 and ttable = 1,706 because it uses the left-hand or one-sided test, the ttable = - 1,706. Based on the test criteria, the results of tcount > ttable are – 18,0073 > - 1,706, so is accepted and is rejected. At a significant level the value of Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05, i.e. 0.000 < 0.05, then is accepted and is rejected. With a percentage of 92% obtained very strong. The conclusion obtained is that there is an effect of learning the Zoom application media on student achievement in social studies subjects for class IX even semesters at SMP Pancasila Dander in the 2020/2021 school year.
