Abstract

People's lifestyles are shifting along with the development of information technology and the internet, especially in consumptive behavior. The most noticeable impact is that social media users and e-commerce platforms are growing rapidly. Many online shopping applications with their respective advantages create consumer intensity in shopping. what they do is not far from the word hedomism, they want to look fashionable and keep up with the times so that what they wear reflects their social status. A person's social status as self-identity in the division of society into different classes or different strata where a person will maintain and maintain his status with social behavior and actions. This research was carried out with the aim of identifying the lifestyle and social status of level IV students of the Economic Education Study Program of IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro in consumptive behavior during the COVID-19 period. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative analysis method using primary data in the form of interviews and secondary data in the form of documentation and triangulation analysis was carried out to obtain appropriate results. Based on the results of the analysis and findings in this study, it can be concluded that . The lifestyle of the fourth level student of the IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro economic education study program as measured by the activities carried out, the interests and opinions that are felt to have an impact on increasing consumptive behavior by shopping online amid the COVID-19 pandemic Social status as measured by income, occupation and education has an impact on consumptive behavior. The supporting factor in shopping activities carried out online is the ease of purchasing products, while the inhibiting factor is that certain items have quite expensive shipping costs.
