Key term : Teacher Strategies, Reading Comprehension, Narrative text This study was intended to know the teachers’ strategies in teaching reading comprehension of narrative text at the eighth grade students of MTs Abu Dzarrin Bojonegoro and to know the problems faced by the teacher in reading comprehension of narrative text at the eight grade students of MTs Abu Dzarrin Bojonegoro. This study was carried out front April to May at MTs Abu Dzarrin Bojonegoro. The method which was used in this study was qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of the study were two English teachers at the eighth grade students of MTs Abu Dzarrin Bojonegoro. The instruments to collect the data were interview, observation, and documentation. The instruments were used to collect the data of teachers‘ strategies and the problems faced by the teacher. The researcher analyzed the data descriptively by following the principles. The results of this research were; the first, there six strategies that used by teachers in teaching reading comprehension of narrative text at the eighth grade students of MTs Abu Dzarrin Bojonegoro. Such as translating, memorizing, QAR, BOOM, retelling, and guessing meaning. The second, there were two problems faced by the teacher in reading comprehension of narrative text at eight grade students of MTs Abu Dzarrin Bojonegoro. They were students limited reading skill and students physical condition
