Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the Zoom application as a learning medium for Civics Class VIII; to find out the factors supporting and inhibiting the use of the Zoom application as a learning medium for Civics Class VIII. In this study, the research strategy used is a case study, namely by carefully investigating the use of the Zoom application in class VIII. The researcher chose 5 students of Class VIII because Class VIII students used the Zoom application as learning media during the Civics lesson. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews, documentation.The results of this study are the Zoom Application in Civics Learning in this case in accordance with the PPKn learning steps. For the application of Zoom application-based learning media in Civics learning the teacher becomes a facilitator for students, makes it easier for students to grow active, makes it easier for students to receive material from teachers. The inhibiting factor is the difficulty in the network or signal, when the network is bad the teacher has difficulty in explaining the material which makes the sound disjointed and unclear. Then many students after entering the Zoom application do not pay attention and listen when the teacher is explaining. The supporting factor is that the Zoom application helps during the covid-19 pandemic. Keywords: Learning Media, Zoom Application, PPKn Subjects
