Abstract

The research entitled Analysis of Characterizations in Siti Umrotun's Incredible Journey Novel Its Relationship with Indonesian Language Learning in SMA which aims to describe the characterizations used to describe the main characters in Siti Umrotun's Incredible Journey novel and as a reference material for Indonesian language learning in high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques using reading and note-taking techniques. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation. Based on data analysis, it was found that the characterizations of Daniel and Damian are the main characters in the novel Incredible Journey by Siti Umrotun. Daniel's characterization data uses expository technique with four (4) data, and dramatic technique with seven (7) data. Meanwhile, Damian's characterization uses expository techniques as much as five (5) data and uses dramatic techniques as many as eight (8) data.
