Abstract

This study aims to find out what factors cause students not to be interested in becoming teachers in the Economic Education Study Program of FPIPS IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro batch 2020. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method because the data is presented in words and describes the results of the study. . The population in this study were students of the Economic Education Study Program 2020 FPIPS IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro who chose not to become teachers, totaling 15 students. The data collection technique in this research uses 3 data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Based on this, the researcher uses 3 ways to analyze the data that the researcher has received, namely by data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. After that, the researcher presented the data in the form of descriptive narrative and drew conclusions. The results of the study show that: 1) The factor from oneself (internal) is a factor that is not interested in students becoming teachers which greatly influences, because the subjects are aware of their own abilities. 2) External factors both from family, community and salary factors that also affect the subjects not to be interested in becoming teachers. So it can be concluded that the factors causing the students' disinterest in becoming teachers in the economic education study program FPIPS IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, there are two factors, namely Internal Factors and External Factors.
