Abstract

This study aims to determine how much motivation grade IX students of SMPN 3 Kedungadem have on distance learning. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Qualitative research (qualitative research) exists in real life (natural) with the aim of studying and understanding phenomena (what happened, why did it happen, how it happened), that is, research carried out in a certain environment and aims to make facts easily. Generate understandable (understood) or new hypotheses (Chariri 2009). Descriptive method is a method for investigating the status of a group of people, an object, a set of conditions, a system of thought, or a class of events with the aim of producing a systematic, factual, and accurate description. Or the phenomenon of painting that is studied about various facts, characteristics and relationships between humans (Nazir, 2011). Based on the results of the research conducted by researchers, it can be concluded that the learning motivation of Class IX students at SMPN 3 KEDUNGADEM in distance learning. Now it can be concluded that students are motivated, this can be seen from the evidence that most of their students study seriously, diligently, following attendance. As well as doing the assignments given by the teacher although on the other hand there are also some students who have low motivation, this is proven when class absences are still late for lessons.
