Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not an effect of the problem based learing model on the critical thinking skills students of X-IPS class in economics lessons at SMA Negeri 1 Kepohbaru, Bojonegoro, in the academic year 2021/2022. This research used descriptive quantitative method. The population of this study is students of X-IPS Class at SMA Negeri 1 Kepohbaru, the total is 69 students. The sampling technique used in this research is non-probability sampling with a saturated technique totaling 69 students of class X-IPS. The data collecting using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is validity and reability test, normality test, linearity test, correlation coefficient test, coefficient of determination test, simple linear regression test, hypothesus testing throught ttest (partial) and significance value. The results of this study indicate that the use of the problem based learning model has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills. This is based on the results of hypothesis testing that the tcount value is 20,868 while the ttable value for the number of samples (n) of 69 is 1,998, meaning that tcount 20,868 > ttable 1,998, while the significance value of 0.000 <0.05 means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. . The conclusion in this study is that there is an effect of the problem based learning model on the critical thinking skills of X-IPS class students in economics lessons at SMA Negeri 1 Kepohbaru, Bojonegoro Regency, for the 2021/2022 academic year.
