Abstract

The implementation of character education is intensively applied in high schools, especially at the Junior High School level, This is because character education is needed that focuses on students' honesty. Character education needs to be instilled from an early age and accustomed to through learning and programs in schools, especially in Pancasila and citizenship education subjects. This study aims to describe strengthening the character of honesty and the obstacles that occur in character strengthening through the learning process of Pancasila and Citizenship Education subjects at Al-Hikmah Islamic Junior High School in Kanor District, Bojonegoro Regency. The method used in learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education subjects is through monitoring the activities carried out by students, one of which is by conducting an attitude assessment through an attitude journal that is reported to each homeroom teacher within a period of six months (every semester). This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a sample of 11 students from a total population of 46 students. The results of the study show that strengthening the character of honesty carried out at Al-Hikmah Islamic Junior High School, Kanor has been applied in the learning process. Strengthening the character of honesty is proven to have an effect on the success and future of students. Keywords: Strengthening Characterstics, Honesty, Students.
