Abstract

The tourism sector will have an impact on the surrounding community and the area. This will also have an economic impact on local changes. Thus the formulation of the problem in this study is how the impact of TPG (Taman Pinggir Gawan) tourism on the economy of the Pilanggede village community, Balen sub-district. The purpose of this study was to find out how the impact of tourism on the economy of the Pilanggede village community, Balen sub-district.This study uses descriptive qualitative research and through two methods of data collection, namely through interviews and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.The results of this study indicate that the existence of TPG (Taman Pinggir Gawan) tourism has an economic impact on the surrounding community, namely: 1) business opportunities, 2) job opportunities, and 3) increased income.So the conclusion from the results of this study, that the existence of tourism in an area will definitely have an impact on the surrounding community, especially the impact on the economy.
