Abstract

The research entitled Characterization of the Main Characters and Educational Values in the Dua Panglima Novel by Suci Amalia and its Relationship in Indonesian Language Learning in High School which aims to describe the characterization of the main characters and educational values in the Dua Panglima Novel by Suci Amalia and as learning reference material Indonesian in high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques using reading and note-taking techniques. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation. Based on data analysis, Manila's main character has 8 characters, namely brave (7) data, smart (6) data, hard work (5) data, never give up (5) data, simple (4) data, independent (4) data, friendly and communicative (7) data, and socially caring and responsible (4) data. And there are 4 educational values, namely the value of religious education (6) data, the value of moral education (6) data, the value of social education (3) data, and the value of character education (2) data.
