Abstract

This study was carried out with the aims, among others 1) To describe the development of shallot production, 2) To describe the marketing of shallots, and 3) To describe the things that affect the development of shallot production and marketing in Babad Village, Kedungadem District, Bojonegoro Regency in 2021. The study This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects were shallot farmers in Babad Village, Kedungadem District, Bojonegoro Regency. This study uses analytical techniques that include 1) data reduction; 2) display data; and 3) conclusion drawing/verification. The results of this study are 1) The production of shallots in Babad Village, Kedungadem District, Bojonegoro Regency in 2021 is quite good, 2) Red onion marketing in Babad Village, Kedungadem District, Bojonegoro Regency in 2021 is quite good, 3) As for what affects the marketing of shallots In this village, there are many competitors when the harvest season arrives and the selling price is unstable due to the simultaneous harvesting of shallots in a number of areas so that this moment is used by collectors. While the things that affect the production of shallots in the village are a short treatment period and a high selling price as supporting factors, while pest attacks and rainfall intensity are inhibiting factors.
