Abstract

Khoirun Nila, Ani. 2023. An analysis of the moral values contained in the film Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma in 2022 and the relationship with learning Indonesian in high school. Thesis, Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Language and Arts Education, IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, Mentor (I) Joko Setiyono, S.Pd., M.Pd., (II) Drs. Sujiran, M.Pd. Keywords : The purpose of this study is to describe the form of moral values contained in the film "Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma" and to describe the relationship between moral values contained in the film "Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma" with Indonesian language learning in high school. (The subject of this study is the form of moral values contained in the film "Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma" in 2022). This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data generated from this research is in the form of excerpts of conversations contained in the film "Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma" in 2022 which were then tagged by researchers. The free listening technique and the note-taking technique are the data collection techniques used in this study. Triangulation is used to measure the validity of the data. After the data analysis was carried out, a form of analysis of moral values was produced which had been found in the film "Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma" in 2022, namely 82 data of human relations with oneself, 126 data of human relations with other human beings, 3 data of human relations with God. The film "Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma" in 2022 is relevant for use as teaching material for high school students because it is in accordance with KD 3.7, namely analyzing values (cultural, social, moral, religious and educational) in novels and KD 4.7 expressing values ( cultural, social, moral, religious, and educational) in the novel both orally and in writing.
