Keywords: The Role of MSME Processed Salak Fruit on Community Welfare The background of this research is the role of MSME processed salak wedi fruit for the welfare of society. The purpose of this research is to: 1) To find out the role of micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) to improve people's welfare. 2) To find out the factors that hinder MSMEs in maintaining their business. 3) To find out the strategies for processing MSMEs that still survive and maintain the continuity of their business. The object of this research is MSME processed salak wedi fruit, this type of research is a qualitative descriptive method. This research began on March 7 to April 3, 2023. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation and documentation and finally checked the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. From the research results it can be concluded from several things: 1) MSME processed salak fruit has a very important role for the community, namely opening jobs for those who don't have a job and being able to help the economy with sufficient income. 2) UMKM processed salak wedi have failed in maintaining their business, the factors are lack of raw materials, lack of maintaining product quality, lack of business capital, lack of technology which has decreased and abandoned the business of processed salak wedi fruit which is the obstacle to the success of MSME processed salak fruit. 3) the success of this MSME business has strategies to maintain its business, namely maintaining product quality, maintaining service quality, developing product variants, and always updating these strategies that make MSME processed snakefruit develop and succeed in maintaining their busines.
