Keywords: novel, pragmatics, social deixis, discourse deixis, The research entitled Deixis Analysis on TereLiye's Novel Rasa (Pragmatic Study) was conducted with the aim of describing and explaining the forms of social deixis and discourse deixis in TereLiye's novel Rasa. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. This research guide attempts to describe the data in a systematic, detailed and in-depth manner and the results of the analysis of the data obtained are in the form of sentences that form paragraphs. This study uses a research design that is descriptive qualitative by using a literature study design. The focus of this research is to realize the social deixis and discourse deixis that exist in the characters' conversations. The object of this research is a literary work in the form of a novel. The Novel Rasa by TereLiye was chosen as the data source in this study. The technique used by researchers to obtain data is to read, identify, describe and classify. Checking the validity of the data in this study used a triangulation technique. Researchers can check their findings by utilizing existing sources, methods, and theories. Based on the analysis of form data, it was found that social deixis and discourse deixis that occur in the novel Rasa by Tere Liye are social deixis based on social differences, whether in the form of greeting, education, gender, occupation or profession, social level and one's social position. While discourse deixis is based on the use of expressions that refer to certain parts of the discourse that have been mentioned or will be mentioned.
