Abstract

Nafi’ah, Ulum. 2023. Analisis Kesulitan Belajar Siswa SD Negeri Kuniran II Kelas V Pada Materi Operasi Hitung Bilangan Bulat. Skripsi, Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Fakultas Pendidikan Matematika dan IPA, IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, Pembimbing (I) Nur Rohman, S.Pd., M.Pd., (II) Dr. Cahyo Hasanudin, M.Pd. Keywords: learning difficulties, mathematics, integer arithmetic operations, Polya theory. This study aims to determine the learning difficulties experienced by fifth grade students at SD Negeri Kuniran II in the material Counting Integer Operations. The research method used is a qualitative method using a descriptive qualitative approach. The source of the data in this study were fifth grade students at SD Negeri Kuniran II. there are 3 results of student abilities namely high, medium and low categories. The selection of categories based on Polya's theory is high, medium and low. The choice of Polya's theory is also based because Polya's theory has good stages such as 1) understanding the problem at hand, 2) making plans or strategies for solving problems, 3) carrying out the plans made and 4) re-checking the problem-solving plan. purposive sampling selected 3 subjects from 11 students, namely 1 sample from the high category and 2 samples from the low category. The medium category was not selected as the research sample because, according to the researcher, the value of the medium category was already within the student's minimum completeness criteria (KKM), while the low category selected 2 students because the researcher wanted to know more about the learning difficulties experienced by these students and for the high category 1 was selected. students because researchers want to know the success of these students. With the purposive sampling method, 3 students were selected as samples, namely 1 student in the high category and 2 students in the low category. Data collection used test, interview and documentation methods. The results of this study are that subjects in the high category are able to understand and do the questions properly and correctly. Students are also able to work on the stages in a coherent and precise manner. Meanwhile, students with low score categories were unable to understand and work on the questions properly because they resulted from several factors, namely the lack of student focus in working on the questions, not being careful in understanding the questions being worked on and other factors such as not being fluent in reading so students were unable to work on the questions. because from the beginning the student could not understand the questions given.
