Abstract
Fatimah. 1910051.2023 Analysis of the Main Character's Inner Conflict in Tere Liye's Novel Rasa in Relationship with Indonesian Language Learning in High School. Thesis, Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program. Faculty of Language and Art Education, IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Advisor 1: Abdul Ghoni Asror, S.Pd., M.Pd., Supervisor II: Novi Mayasari, S.Pd., M.Pd. Keywords: Novel Taste, Inner conflict, Humanistic Psychology. Literary work is a reflection, picture or reflection of life. This study aims to describe the main inner conflicts experienced in Tere Liye's novel Rasa in relation to learning in high school. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with Abraham Maslow's Humanistic Psychology approach to analyze the psychological aspects of the main character. Data collection techniques in this study are observation techniques, note-taking techniques, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study can be concluded that the main character's inner conflict includes; (1) physiological needs which include, the need to eat, drink, dress, and rest, (2) the need for security which includes, a sense of security, protection, order, freedom from fear and anxiety, (3) the need for love and belonging includes both the same sex and the opposite sex, in the family environment or in a group environment in society the individual has the right to love and be loved by other individuals, (4) the need for appreciation which includes attention, understanding self-confidence, achievement, competence, adequacy , and freedom, (5) self-actualization needs which include self-actualization, awareness of one's potential, and the desire to be as creative as possible. The results of the research above can be used as Indonesian language learning material in high school.
