Abstract

Alfiana, Fitri, 2023. Analysis Of The Speech Directive In El Alicia’s Novel Renjana And It’s Relevance As A Study Of Indonesian In High School . Thesis, Indonesian Language and Literature Education, IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, Supervisor (I) Dr. Masnuatul Hawa, S.Pd,. M.Pd., (II) Moh. Fuadul Matin, S.S,. M.Pd,. Keywords: Pragmatic, Novel, Directive, Indonesian Learning in High School. Directive speech acts are a type of speech act that can be conveyed directly or indirectly. The aims of this study are 1) to describe and explain the various types of directive speech acts. 2) describe the result of the analysis o Renjana’s novel and its relevance to learning Indonesian in high school. This type of research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. Describtive qualitative approach is an analysis of data obtained in the form of, and not stated in the form of numbers or statistical figures. The method used in this research is the observing method and the not-taking method. The subject of this research is El Alicia’s novel Renjana, wich was published by Kata Depan Jakarta in October 2021 has 336 pages and the technique used in this study uses interactive analysis techniques including data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions, in examining data this study using three techniques namely, 1) source triangulation technique, 2) method triangulation technique, 3) and time triangulation technique. This study focuses on the analysis of directive speech acts on the novel Renjana by El Alicia. The overall result of this research found 276 data from the entire research that the researcher has conducted namely 40 data request, 173 data question, 28 data orders, 6 prohibitions data, agree on 15 data, and advise on 14 data and can find out this relevance as learning Indonesian in high school can be seen in KD 3.9 which contains analyzing the content and language of the novel with indicators identifying intrinsic and extrinsic elements.
