Abstract

The Use of Code Switching and Code Mixing in the Indonesian Language Learning Process at MTS Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Sukosewu Bojonegoro for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. Fuadul Matin, S.Pd,. M.Pd,. Kata Kunci: The relationship between code switching and code mixing in learning Indonesian at mts. The use of code switching and code mixing in sociolinguistics is very important to note, especially during learning interactions. This study aims to 1) describe and explain the forms of code switching and code mixing, 2) describe and explain the factors behind code switching and code mixing in teaching and learning interactions in Indonesian subjects, 3) describe the relevance of the use of code switching and code mixing Indonesian teacher at MTS Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Sukosewu, Bojonegoro Regency. This study uses qualitative research with qualitative descriptive methods. The subjects of this study were Indonesian language teachers. Data sources are divided into 1) Person sources, 2) Place sources, and 3) Paper sources, there are three data collection procedures, namely 1) SLBC technique, 2) recording technique, 3) note-taking technique. And to check the validity of the data using three triangulations, namely 1) source triangulation, 2) technical triangulation, 3) time triangulation. The results of this study indicate that in the forms of code switching and code mixing in Indonesian language learning at MTS Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Sukosewu Bojonegoro there are 8 internal code switching and 1 external code switching, while in the code mixing form the insertion of tangible elements is 5 words, 1 phrase , 2 basters, 1 repetition of words. The conclusions we can draw are 1) we can find out the form of code switching and code mixing, 2) the factors behind code switching are two and there are five code mixing, 3) the results of the relevance of code switching and code mixing In the process of learning Indonesian, students can distinguish between code switching and code mixing.
