Keywords: Learning Motivation, Learning Independence, Mathematics The main problem in this study is whether learning motivation has a significant positive effect on the independence of learning mathematics for SMP Tritunggal Sugihwaras. This study aims to determine whether learning motivation has a significant positive effect on the independence of learning mathematics for SMP Tritunggal Sugihwaras. This type of research is a quantitative study consisting of two variables, namely the independent variable and the dependent variable. The population in this study were all students of SMP Tritunggal Sugihwaras. While the research sample was selected using cluster random sampling technique and obtained as many as 15 class VII students as research samples. Data collection is done by using a questionnaire. The results of the study show that the influence of learning motivation on the independence of learning mathematics is in accordance with the Sig. motivation to learn is 0.000.
