Heru Ismaya, M.H Keywords: efforts, Civics teachers, preventing bullying This study aims to determine the efforts made by PPKn teachers in preventing bullying as deviant behavior in class VIII students at SMPN 2 Parengan. This research method is qualitative by using a qualitative descriptive approach. The informants of this study were Civics teachers, counseling teachers, class VIII students of SMPN 2 Parengan. Collecting data using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study are 1) The efforts of Civics teachers in preventing bullying as a deviant behavior in students by providing an understanding related to increasing awareness among children. emphasizing good behavior, fostering a sense of empathy, and focusing more on achieving shared achievements at school. 2) Obstacles faced by PPKn teachers in preventing bullying in class VIII students of SMPN 2 Parengan, namely a) It is easy for students to repeat bullying behavior, b) Parents of students who always feel their child is right, c) The active role of parents of students who are still lacking.
