Abstract
Network security engineering learning does not yet have learning tools that are innovative and integrated with computer network learning materials. Therefore, this research aims to develop project-based learning tools for computer network subjects using the 4-D development model. The research subjects were students majoring in network security engineering. Primary data was obtained from teachers and students using a questionnaire. Descriptive data analysis methods are used to explain the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of project-based learning tools. The steps for developing project-based learning tools include creating learning tools, assessing the validity of project-based learning tools, assessing the practicality of project-based learning tools, and assessing the effectiveness of project-based learning tools. Project-based learning can help students learn independently and increase students' creativity, independence, responsibility, self-confidence, critical thinking, and analytical thinking. Project-based learning is supported by constructivist learning theory, where knowledge grows and develops through experience.
