Abstract
Setiyawan, Bayu. 2025. “The Influence of Mobile Legends on the Civic Education Learning Achievement of Ninth Grade Students at SMP Gusdur Soko.” Undergraduate Thesis. Study Program of Pancasila and Civic Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Advisor (I) Dr. Ernia Duwi Saputri, S.Pd., M.H. Advisor (II) Drs. Heru Ismaya, M.H. Keywords : Mobile Legends, Learning Achievement, Civic Education, Online Games Learning achievement in the subject of Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) is highly influenced by students' concentration and time management. In the digital era, the intensity of playing online games such as Mobile Legends has become a serious concern as it may disrupt learning processes. This study aims to analyze the influence of playing intensity of Mobile Legends on students' academic achievement in Civic Education. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational descriptive design. The sample consisted of 14 ninth-grade students selected through purposive sampling based on the criterion of playing games for at least 2 hours per day. The instruments used were a questionnaire on game-playing intensity and documentation of students’ Midterm Exam (UTS) scores in Civic Education. Data analysis included validity and reliability testing, normality testing, and simple linear regression. The findings revealed that the intensity of playing Mobile Legends had a significant negative effect on Civic Education achievement (sig. = 0.000 < 0.05) with a regression coefficient of -1.025. This indicates that the higher the intensity of playing Mobile Legends, the lower the students’ academic achievement in Civic Education.
