Abstract
One branch of mathematics courses are geometry cube. Problem solving of geometry cube in mathematics learning requires students to think critically. The ability of students of SMP Negeri 2 Tambakrejo in solving mathematical problems, especially the subject of geometry cube tends to be dominant. The difference lies in the kind of thinking students' learning styles are diverse but with almost the same results. The purpose of this study to determine the ability of junior high school students' critical thinking in solving mathematical problems subject of geometry cube in terms of learning styles. The method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive explorative. Subject of six students, each of which has 2 types of visual learning style, 2 auditory, and 2 kinesthetic dominant . The data analysis technique consists of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion and verification. Technique authenticity of data in this research is by triangulation techniques (tests and interviews). The results of this research is the students' critical thinking skills in solving problems waking cube space (1) Tipe of visual has the ability to give a simple explanation, the explanation further, set the strategy and tactics, as well as being able to evaluate but less capable of concluding (2) Tipe of auditori has the ability to give a simple explanation, the explanation further, set the strategy and tactics, as well as being able to evaluate and conclude. (3) Type of kinesthetic has the ability to provide a simple explanation to construct an image, further explanation, set the strategy and tactics, as well as being able to evaluate and conclude.
