Abstract

ABSTRACK This research is an experimental research using one-shot case study research desing. The independent variable in this research is the problem-based learning model while the dependent variable is the learning achievement. The method used is the method of observation and Questionnaire method. The population in this research is 30 students from all students of class VIII in Trinity Junior High School. The sample of this research using saturated sample technique. The data analysis technique reveals the product moment correlation with the rough figures expressed by the person. To measure student achievement used method of examination of documents by looking at the value of report card semester I. Correlation value obtained in the analysis of instrument validity with Product Moment correlation formula from Pearson ranged from 0.976 The results of data analysis showed the value of correlation coefficient of 0.976 then Ha accepted and Ho rejected. The conclusion of this research is that there is a relationship between problem based learning on the achievement of students of grade VIII SMP Tritunggal Sugihwaras.
