Abstract

ABSTRACT Riyanto Saputra, Fajar, 2020. The Use Of Comic Book To Improve English Vocabulary Mastery At The Tenth Grade Of Ma Abu Darrin Bojonegoro In The Academic Year Of 2019/2020. Thesis. English Departement the First Advisor: Meiga Ratih Tirtanawati, S.Pd., M.Pd., and the Second Advisor: Yuniarta Ita Purnama, S.Pd, M.Pd. The purpose of this study was to to identify whether comics books can be used to improve students English vocabulary and To describe the class situation when comics books are implemented in the class. The study was conducted at MAS Abu Darrin Bojonegoro in May in the academic year 2019/2020. The object for this study was tenth-grade students at MAS Abu Darrin Bojonegoro. The researcher analyzed the data by using a classroom action research design. The instruments for collecting the author's data are Pretest and Post-test. The results of this study reinforce the results of research conducted by Fajar Riyanto Saputra, in his thesis entitled "The use of comic book to improve vocabulary mastery at the tenth grade of ma abu darrin bojonegoro in the academic of 2019/2020", written in 2020. The research proves that learning outcomes obtained by students who learn by using comic media are better than students who study not using comic media. The average student achievement in the pretest of 61,14 increased to 76,57 in cycle I. Whereas students who achieved KKM in the pretest of 28,57% increased to 50% in cycle I. The acquisition of the average results of students in the first cycle of 76,57 increased to 90,28 in the second cycle. And students who achieve KKM in the first cycle by 50% increased to 100% in the second cycle. Keywords: Comic Books, Improve, Vocabulary
