Abstract

Abstrak This study aims to describe the language errors in terms of the use of spelling and choice word in writing a personal letter for students of class VII MTS At Taqwa Kedungtuban in the academic year 2019/2020. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The method in this study is the method of observation or observation methods. Data collection techniques conducted by researchers online (online). The data collection technique used is read notes. The results of this study are errors at the spelling level consist of (1) the misuse of capital found 363 errors (2) errors of preposition writing in-ten errors occur (3) writing errors for abbreviations found 18 errors (4) writing errors for my pronouns and you 8 errors (5) mistakes in dot marks 33 (6) errors in commas 9 (7) errors in question marks found 3 errors (8) exclamation mark errors found in 3 errors (9) ellipsis error found 1 error (10) hyphen error found 17 errors and (11) word choice errors found 3 errors.
