Abstract
Abstract This study aims to determine the composition and image in the song lyrics of the album Camellia 2 by Ebiet G. Ade and their relationship as poetrry writing material in high school. This research is a descriptive qualitative research.Data collection technique used is the method of reading semiotic models,namely readingheuristics and hermeneutic.The results showed that there were several works and images in the song lyrics of the album Camellia 2 by Ebiet G. Ade. The conclusion of this study is that there are 5 types of anaphoric data, hyperbole 4 data,personifikasi 3 data, 2 data assurance, 2 data metaphor, simile 2 data,tautologi 1 data, anticlimax 1 data, epiphora 1 data, synekdot prototo 1 data,alegory 1 data, sarcams 1 data, repetition 1 data. The images on the Camellia 2 album have 6 images, they are 6 visual images, hearing 4 data, motion 4 data, feeling 3 data, touch 2 data, intellectual 1 data. From the otherside the song lyrics of the album Camellia 2 have art and contain ideas that are rich in meaning. The result of the figure analysis and song lyric imagery in the Camellia 2 album can be implemented into learning Indonesia language and literature inhigh school, namely learning towrite poetry.
