Abstract

Abstract Speech act is a theory that examines the meaning of language which basically relates to speech and is carried out by the speaker to his speech partner in communication. This research was conducted by researchers to describe the speech acts that exist in the vlog content on YouTube, which includes the type of speech acts used, and their relationship to learning Indonesian in high school. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The research data in this study were in the form of speech data spoken by speakers of the vlog content on youtube obtained from verbal speech then recorded by the researcher. Data collection in this study was carried out by listening and note taking techniques. The instrument used in gathering this data was a human instrument, the researcher him self. Data analysis activities using qualitative description techniques where this activity is to describe all the data that is available during the research process. Based on the results of the data analysis, the following conclusions are obtained. First, Locus Speech Acts found in vlog content on youtube are statement locus (declarative), command locus (imperative) and question locus (interrogative). Second, the illocutionary forms that are commonly found are directive, expressive, commissive, and assertive forms. Whereas in the form of declarative illocutionary acts found altogether in all vlog content that has been analyzed. Third, the forms of perlocution that are commonly found are forms of influence because the most acts of speech that are used are to inform the goods or things offered. Fourth, the relationship of speech acts in the vlog content on YouTube to Indonesian language learning can be used as an example, a good form of communication during the learning process in high school.
