Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of the learning process of writing negotiating texts using audio visual media in class X students of SMA PGRI Padangan and to improve the quality of learning outcomes of writing negotiating texts using audio visual media in class X students of SMA PGRI Padangan. This study uses a PTK research approach (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas/Classroom Action Research), the subject in this study is students from grade X of SMA PGRI Padangan in number 19 students, data source of this research is Indonesian Language teachers it self, documents in the form of syllabus and lesson plan, pre-cycle students score, the result both of with teacher and other students. Data collection techniques in this study is carried out by test and non test technique, while the analysis technique which is used in this study is comparative descriptive technique by comparing results between the cycles. In the firs cycle there are 68,4% or as much as 13 students who get score over the passing grade (KKM), while in the cycle II there are 84,29% or 16 students who get score over the passing grade (KKM) or complete it. There has been an increase or progress in cycle I to cycle II of 15,8%. Keywords: Negotiating text writing skills, audio visual
