Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to improve the implementation of learning skills through the picture and picture model and to improve the value of writing poetry skills through the model picture and picture in class X MIPA Integrated High School Al Ishlah Soko - Tuban 2019/2020 school year.This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the subject of the X grade MIPA Integrated Al Ishlah Soko - Tuban high school students consisting of 16 female students. This action research was carried out in two cycles, each of which had four components, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data from observations were obtained through tests, observations, document analysis, field notes, interviews, and documentation. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, document review, and tests. Data analysis techniques used are comparative descriptive techniques. The results showed that in the process of an increase in the implementation of learning occurred in several aspects, for example in aspects of student activeness, the enthusiasm of students in participating in learning, and student attention during learning. Whereas the percentage of classical completeness obtained in each cycle is 25% pre-cycle, 62.5% first cycle, and 87.5% second cycle. These results indicate that the application of the picture and picture model can improve the quality of the learning process and improve the poetry writing results of students of class X MIPA Integrated High School Al Ishlah Soko - Tuban in the academic year 2019/2020 Keywords: poetry writing skills, picture and picture
