Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe and explain the orientation, submission, offer and agreement parts of the negotiating text written by MIPA 1 grade students of Muhammadiyah Senior High School Randublatung Blora on problem-based learning assisted by audio-visual media. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with 21 students. Data collection techniques using test methods, interviews, and documentation. Data validated using triangulation of data sources and triangulation of methods. Data analysis techniques using content analysis methods. The results of this study indicate that the text structure of the negotiations (orientation, submission, offer, and agreement) made by students is already referring to the theory of Kosasih and Kurniawan well. The conclusions in this study are 1) the orientation part, students express the problem to be negotiated, 2) the submission section, students write a statement that the first negotiator asks the second negotiator to do something in accordance with the wishes of the first negotiator, 3) the offer part, students write a number of statements argumentation on the proposed and rejected proposals, and 4) the agreement part, students express agreement or disagreement between the two parties.
