Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of using the Think Pair Share learning model with the inquiry strategy on student learning outcomes in mathematics on the subject of flat-sided building. The sample in this study was class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII B as the control class at MTs Petak Gayam Bojonegoro in the 2019/2020 school year. This type of research is experimental research. The design of this research is a quasi experimental design. The data collection methods in this research are interview method, documentation method, and test method. The data analysis technique or hypothesis testing uses statistical techniques with the t test with the Separated Variance. Based on the calculation of the hypothesis test value of the learning outcomes test performed using the t test formula (Separated Variance) with a significance level of 5% obtained tcount = 4.1317 with DK = {t | t <-2.3139 or t> 2,3139}; t table = 2.3139 then tcount ∈ DK because tcount> ttable so that H0 is rejected and it can be concluded that there is an effect of student learning outcomes using the TPS learning method with the inquiry strategy on the material of the flat-sided building (beam) class VIII MTs Petak Gayam Regency Bojonegoro year 2019/2020 teaching.
