Abstract

Abstract This classroom action research was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of students at SMAN 1 Sugihwaras. It was proven that in 2019 SMAN 1 Sugihwaras graduated 220 students with an average score of 31.13 in mathematics. The reason is the student not interest in learning Mathematics because learning uses conventional learning models. The solution to this problem is that researchers offer to use the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model to increase students' interest and learning outcomes in Mathematics. This research was conducted on the circle equation material using critical data analysis techniques and descriptive analysis. The subjectsof this research were students of class XI MIPA 3 at SMA Negeri 1 Sugihwaras in the 2019/2020 academic year which consisted of 36 students. By using the instrument pre-test and post-test questions were used to collect data on student learning outcomes, observation sheets and questionnaire on learning interest were used to collect data on student learning interest. The stages of this research are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The criterion indicator used is that students are said to be interested in learning Mathematics if they have a value of >30 on the interest questionnaire, and then the students said pass the Minimum Graduation Criteria (KKM) if they have a test score of ≥75. From the research obtained the results: 1) student interest in learning class XI MIPA 3 has increased in percentage 61.11% from 36.11% to 97.22% of the total 36 students. 2) student learning outcomes increased 22.23% from 58.33% to 80.56% of the total 36 students. From the data above, the conclusions obtained from this research are: 1) The application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model can increase students' interest in learning mathematics, and 2) Application The Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model can improve student learning outcomes.
