Abstract

Abstrak: Problems experiences by students is mathemathics learning achievement. This study aims to determine the significant differences in mathematics learning achievement in the subject of blocks between learning using the TPS type cooperative learning model with TSTS in class VIII SMPN 1 Dander in the 2019/2020 academic year. This type of research is comparative research. The population in this study were all students of class VIII totaling 205 students, while the sample was 30 students of class VIII B as experimental class 1 who were treated with cooperative learning type TPS and class VIII E totaled 30 students who were treated with cooperative learning type TSTS. Data collection methods in this research are documentation method and test method. Instrument testing includes validity test, reliability test, difficulty level, and distinguishing power. The prerequisite test which includes the normality test and the homogeneity test shows that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis test results obtained a significance of 2.19> 2.002, which means rejected. The comparative data average score of the experimental achievement test 1 was 72.646 and the average score of the experimental achievement test 2 was 75.8537. So that there are significant differences in mathematics learning achievement in the subject of blocks between learning using the TPS type cooperative learning model with TSTS in class VIII SMPN 1 Dander in the 2019/2020 academic year.
