Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the influence of the cooperative learning model with the Make a Match Type on student achievement in Characteristics of Plane Figure of Mathematics at class VII MTs Al-Hidayah Lajo Kidul in the academic year 2019/2020. This study implements a quantitative method which is in experimental design. The sample of this study were all students of class VII semester II MTs Al-Hidayah Lajo Kidul in the academic year 2019/2020 which is a total population of 46 students. The sampling technique used is saturation sampling. To collect the data, the researcher used tests and documentation. Furthermore, the prerequisite test in the form of the normality test using the Liliefors method, the homogeneity test using the F-test and the balance test and hypothesis testing using the t-test was used to analyze the data. Based on the results of research on the learning achievement test, it was found that the average value of the experimental class was = 77.95 and the control class average was = 69.17. Then, The t-count value is 3.006, dk = 44, and the significance level α = 5% with the interpolation formula; also, the t-table value is 2.017. It can be concluded that the t-count > the t-table. Therefore, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of the cooperative learning model with the Make a Match Type on student learning achievement in Characteristics Plane Figure of Mathematics at class VII MTs Al-Hidayah Lajo Kidul in the academic year 2019/2020.
