Abstract
Abstract : This study aims to determine the effect of the problem based learning (PBL) learning models on student achievement in IPS subjects on the subject of human activity in meeting the needs of class VII SMP Taruna Kedungadem 2019/2020 school year. This research uses a quantitative research approach. The independent variable in this research is the learning model of problem based learning (PBL) while the dependent variable is learning achievement. The subject in this study were 28 students of grade VII SMP Taruna Kedungadem. The data collection technique used in this study is observation, dokumentation and tests. Data analysis techniques in this study using normality test, linearity test and hypothesis test (T test) with a significance level of 5%. In the process of calculating data using computer program SPSS version 16.0 for Windows. Based on the research and testing of hypothesis that has been performed indicating that the learning model of the problem Based Learning (PBL) learning is an effect on which value obtained sig. (2-tailed) ≤ 0,05 = 0,000 ≤ 0,05. So it can be said Ha accepted and Ho rejected. Keywords: Problem Based Learning (PBL), Learning achievement
