Abstract
ABSTRACT One of the supporters of interest in continuing the study of higher education is the socio-economic background of parents and self-efficacy, socio-economic background is a picture of a person's condition in terms of economics while self-efficacy is an individual's trust in his ability to succeed in doing something. The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the effect of the socioeconomic background of MA Plus Al-Hadi Bojonegoro students in the academic year 2019/2020 on the interest in continuing higher education studies, (2) to describe the effect of the self-efficacy of MA plus Al-Hadi Bojonegoro students academic year 2019/2020 on the interest in continuing higher education, (3) To describe the influence of the interest of MA plus Al-Hadi Bojonegoro students in the 2019/2020 school year to continue higher education. This research uses a quantitative descriptive study. The data analysis technique used the prerequisite analysis and Hypothesis test. Based on the results of data analysis with a significance level of 5%, it was fulfilled that: (1) There was no influence of parents' socioeconomic background on the interest in continuing their tertiary studies, with a significant value of 0.123> 0.05. (2) There is an effect of Self Efficacy on the interest in continuing higher education studies, with a significant value of 0,000 <0.05. (3) There is an influence of lecturers' quality of service and competence together with students, with a significant value of 0,000 <0.05. Keywords: Background Influence, Self-Efficacy, and Interest.
