Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement in the quality of the application process using the inquiry method and the improvement of learning outcomes in class X AKL SMK Al-Fattah Kalitidu in the 2019/2020 academic year. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) with the research subjects of class X accounting students of SMK Al- Fattah Kalitidu, totaling 22 students. This research was conducted in two cycles, each of which contained four activities, namely, planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques using observations and tests via online. Data collection techniques obtained from test questions, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is a comparative descriptive technique. The results of this study indicate that the application of learning using the Inquiry Method can improve the learning outcomes of class X AKL SMK Al-Fattah Kalitidu by increasing the student's average score from 72, 72 in the final test of cycle I increasing to 81, 60 in the final test of cycle II. The application of learning using the Inquiry Method can improve the quality of the student learning process in class X AKL SMK Al-Fattah Kalitidu with a significant increase in achieving indicators of student success Keyword: Inquiry, Learning outcomes
