Abstract

Abstract Difficulty is a condition in the learning process where students cannot learn properly. This study aims to describe the learning difficulties experienced by students in economic subjects, the factors that affect learning difficulties and teachers' strategies in overcoming economic learning difficulties in SMA Negeri 1 Soko. This type of research is a type of qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Subjects in this study were 71 students of economics subject along with class X IPS 3 and X IPS 4 of SMA Negeri 1 Soko. The respondents in this study were 46 students because out of 71 who were willing to be informants, 46 students. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data used is triangulation (Source). Based on the research, the difficulties often experienced by students in learning economics are difficulty in understanding the material, especially in calculating material and difficulty in understanding questions, while the factors that affect student learning difficulties are due to lack of interest in learning and student motivation, burdened with other tasks, lack of media use, as well as a classroom environment that is less conducive. The strategy used by the teacher in overcoming economic learning difficulties is by taking a personal approach and providing additional lessons, expository strategies, and the teacher doing remedial programs for students who score below the KKM.
