Abstract

Abstract: Every human being has been awarded the potential that can be developed. One of the potentials that can be developed is intelligence. In learning, the intelligence of students is an important role in the learning achievement they achieve. Interest in learning can support the process of achieving learning achievement. If students have high interest in learning, these students will try their best to achieve learning achievement. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a positive effect of emotional intelligence on learning achievement in terms of interest in learning economic subjects in class XI IIS MAN 2 Bojonegoro in the 2019/2020 academic year. In this study, research used quantitative methods. This research will use the calculation of statistical data with the 2-way ANOVA method to calculate the effect of emotional intelligence on learning achievement in terms of interest in learning. From the results of hypothesis testing using the 2-way ANOVA formula shows that the value of significance in interest in learning is greater than the value of alpha (α) = 0.05 (0.407> 0.05). This means that H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected, which means that there is no influence of interest in learning on the degree of influence of emotional intelligence on student achievement in class XI IIS 1 to class XI IIS 4 at MAN 2 Bojonegoro in economic lessons for the 2019/2020 academic year.
